golf01.jpggolf03.jpg  Should you wish to try a game of golf in an entirely different environment, the 18-hole golf course on the Brioni islands certainly offers a unique experience. Built in 1922, it was completely renovated in 2006, according to the original plan by George Thomas and Tom Simpson, who were among the most celebrated golf architects from the first half of the 20th century. The unique environment of this course, surrounded by the freely wandering deer, mouflons, rabbits and peacocks, and with a magnificent view of the sea and the islands of the Brioni archipelago, gives the game a truly different flavour. Due to the pleasant, mild climate and a small amount of rainfall in the area, this golf course is used throughout the whole year. Apart from this course situated on the island of Veliki Brijun, there is also a brand new driving range nearby, 7 kilometres away from the town of Fazana. Here you will be able to practice your strokes, or take golf lessons with professional instructors.
